The Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future (O3) programme, implemented by UNESCO, has a vision of a sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) where all adolescents and young people (AYP) attain positive health, education, and gender equality outcomes. The programme commenced in 2018 and the first phase ends in June 2023.
This final evaluation of the O3 programme was conducted from August 2022 until January 2023. The final evaluation entailed ten qualitative country case studies in Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Eswatini, Gabon, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia; 15 key informant interviews at the global and regional levels; secondary data analysis of large-scale household surveys and a document review covering 33 countries in SSA.
